Most of us hear the message that being a person of faith and being LGBTQ+ cannot go together. The truth is that we don’t have to choose one part of our identity over the other, but for many in the LGBTQ+ community, living in integrity as a whole person and pursuing a life and relationships that are true to themselves, often results in the loss of the community that has been a part of their roots for years. How can we deal with this loss? Is there hope for believing in a faith that accepts us as we are? How can we be allies to those who are marginalized and move from tolerance to celebration? In this fun and interactive workshop, Pam Rocker will invite us into reflection and conversation on how we can create space for everyone, as we celebrate the sacred connections between us all.
